Simulated Holdings is Leveling Up

By Published

Swish Finance is leveling up the simulated holdings experience with a brand new Portfolio page. Track your investments in one place and see how they are performing in real time.

Your portfolio at a glance #

The summary at the top gives you an immediate view of your portfolio's value, daily movement, and realized and unrealized performance before you dig into individual positions.

You can see total market value, portfolio-wide one-day unrealized P&L, total P&L, realized and unrealized P&L, and dividends. The allocation bar shows your overall exposure to each instrument.

The portfolio page brings your holdings, allocation, and performance together in one view.

One history, two tabs #

The Portfolio page has two tabs: 'Holdings' and 'Transactions'. Use the 'New transaction' button at the top to record buy, sell, and dividend transactions. Enter the date, quantity, price, and currency, with an optional note. This lets you add past activity and keep the portfolio current over time.

The Transactions tab gives you a historical view of every transaction you have recorded. The Holdings tab shows your current positions, using live prices to calculate market value and P&L. You can also expand each holding to view every transaction recorded for that instrument.

The detail behind the totals #

The Holdings table is designed for high data density. Alongside the symbol and instrument name, it can show currency, quantity, latest price, average price, and market value. Performance columns cover one-day unrealized P&L, realized P&L, unrealized P&L, and total P&L, with both absolute and percentage values available where relevant.

You can filter the table to show 'Open', 'Closed', or 'Untracked' positions. To choose which columns are visible, right-click any column header or use the column chooser icon on the right.

The Transactions table keeps the source data just as accessible, with the date, symbol, transaction type, quantity, price, amount, currency, and note in one ledger. Together, the two views let you move from the whole portfolio to a single position or transaction without losing context.
