Does Swish work on Windows 11?
Yes. Native support for Windows 11 and Windows 10, including ARM64 devices like Surface Pro. Fluent UI, acrylic blur and dark mode are built in.
Will Swish drain my battery?
The widgets are rendered using native Direct2D, DirectX 11 and DirectComposition APIs - the same graphics stack Windows uses to draw its own UI. No Electron, no embedded browser. I know many users keep Swish open all day on a laptop (including me), so battery life has been a priority from the start.
Which stock markets and exchanges are supported?
Global coverage: Nasdaq, NYSE, LSE, Euronext, NSE, ASX, TMX/TSX, NYMEX and many more. The free version supports stocks. Swish Pro adds crypto, ETFs, currencies and other instrument types.
Are the stock quotes real-time?
Yes, for all major US exchanges and many international markets. Swish Pro adds real-time chart updates and extended hours (pre-market and after-hours) data directly on the chart.
What chart types are available?
The free version includes a line chart with 1-month history and a free-handed crosshair with shift-drag to measure price/percentage change between any two points. Swish Pro adds candlestick, OHLC and volume bar charts with full historical data from intraday to multi-year.
Can I track my portfolio without connecting a broker?
Yes. You can enter buy/sell positions, dividends, broker fees and short positions. Prices convert between currencies automatically using live exchange rates. P/L is displayed on the widget and as a chart overlay.
Can I see prices in my own currency?
Yes. Each instrument can display in a different currency (14+ supported) with continuous live conversion. This applies to both the price display and simulated holdings.
Do the widgets stay on my desktop after restarting?
Yes. Same position, same size. You can lock them in place, pin on top, or use mini widget mode for a compact ticker. A grid alignment tool with margins and padding helps you arrange larger setups.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. Keybindings are fully customizable. A single hotkey can trigger multiple actions across specific widgets - toggle visibility, switch time range, change z-order. Useful for quickly switching between different views.

How do I set up price alerts?
Set an upper or lower threshold on any widget. You get a desktop notification when the price crosses it, and the threshold appears as a dotted line on the chart.
